We are huge Beach fans, and Cocoa Beach fans in particular. Why? Read our story below and you will see. We have always loved Walt Disney World too, and have made countless trips to Central Florida over the past 25 years. Through all those years, we always talked about owning property on the beach, property close to Disney. Living in the midwest in Ohio and Illinois, we had looked at Florida properties in the past but never had the "nerve" to jump in for one reason or the other. Maybe you've been that way yourself, you don't know how to get started or what to do - or how to rent the property. We were the same way, but we knew one thing: that we loved the idea and that we could help familes from all over the world have special memories together.
Our son Daniel was born and literally knew no vacation other than the Disney parks from age zero to age 13. People thought we were crazy going there sometimes 2 or 3 times a year. They'd say stuff like "you know there are other places to go", but we didn't listen!
I can say for sure Daniel "grew up at Disney". When he was a baby we would always take him back to the room for his daily nap and then right back to the Disney parks at night. Today, he's in High School and knows his way around Cocoa Beach and the Disney theme parks almost better than his own neighborhood at home. He loves to take friends and "show them around".
During the time Daniel was growing up, we stayed both on and off Disney Property and around the beaches in just about every hotel, in the campground a couple times, and spent a lot of money trying everything out. We always looked for the best way to stay there but not spend a fortune. It's a challenge as you know! We considered the Disney Time Share, and looked at a few, but we wanted something more. Then we found it.
Everything changed one Spring when we took the leap and bought our first Condo, unit 701, in Cocoa Beach with a view of the NASA Launch Pads right off the balcony! Being a space geek, it was the perfect place. The Closest beach to Disney. Year round beach fun - and Disney just minutes away too! 70 to 90- degrees Year Round! We opened the Cocoa Beach 701 condo to guests and it was an instant hit. Unit 701 sold out almost from day one, and gets rave reviews to this day. Since we fell in love with 701, we put in all the best furniture, technology and equipment like HD Radio, HDTV LCD Flat Panel televisions, Wireless Internet, 5.8 Ghz Digital Cordless phones, you name it.
With 701 a smashing success and in such demand, we knew what we had to do. We wanted to own more properties - and this time we followed the original dream - the closest properties to Disney World.
We located the best Condo units that were the CLOSEST to the Disney Main Gate and started looking. After countless hours of searching and research, we located unit 302 at Windsor Hills. The plan was to make Condo vacationing possible and affordable for every family who ever visited Walt Disney World. We love families and kids, and want families to be in our Condos. We imagined Daniel at age four and what we wanted in a hotel room back then. With that as a starting point, we built unit 302 and added all the touches.
Unit 302 was such a huge and immediate sell out success that it took us by total surprise. It was stunning to both Patti and I. Apparently there were a few more out there like us! The calls and emails flooded in from Minnesota to New York, Oregon to California, it was incredible. We did it different, a different approach, which is explained in more detail on the "RATES" page on this website. We did not try to "make money" off of our Guest families, we just charged what it took to operate the condo, so it basically breaks even. Families appreciate this and it's just one of the services we offer, best price.
We realized we needed more places to accomodate our Guest families who want to be in a 2 Bedroom condo right on the beach and this close to Disney. We went looking again, narrowing it down one by one. After days of looking and comparing, we purchased brand new unit 402. Several months later, we purchased a large 3 Bedroom condo with over 1450 Square Feet of space, the All New 204.
This story is just starting. If I could, I would own 50 Condos at the beach and close to Disney. We will be buying more units at Sandcastles in Cocoa Beach for you to use for your family vacations. Patti, who is now a stay at home mom, runs the business (I have a full time job!) She works all the calendars 24/7 for all four properties today and it keeps her busy. She's talking to you on the phone, setting up your dates, as well as sending out your contracts and confirmations for your vacations.
